Profile
Dr Maylene Pineda is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 25 years dedication to women's health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) with a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound and Masters in Medicine from the University of Sydney. She is a Senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist additionally trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Dr Pineda divides her time between private practice and as one of the Directors of Parramatta Ultrasound for Women - a specialist diagnostic obstetrics and gynaecology group with multiple sites across Sydney.
Having served as Head of the Department of Obstetrics at Nepean Hospital until August 2025, Dr Pineda remains actively involved in clinical governance, education and training of medical students, junior doctors and midwives. She lives locally in Wahroonga and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to women and families in the
North Shore and greater Sydney region.
